Terms and conditions

The date of the event is April 27-28 (Sunday and Saturday) 2024, and the assembly point is the town of Dragoman, the square in front of the Town Hall.

DISTANCES AND CATEGORIES

I. Bike for Chepan - Start on 27-th April 2024

There are two distances - the usual 23, and 44 kilometers. The participants start at the start/finish point in the central square of the town of Dragoman in the direction of the SDP Balkani Infocenter and from there toward the Petrovski Cross peak.

Category “Hobby” – Everyone over 12 years of age can take part in this Category.

Hobby, Men

• Men, 23 km - the category includes male participants over the age of 12 who compete in the 23-kilometer distance; denivelation of course – D+660 m; this is actually the left half of the course which is in the shape of 8, with beginning and end - the town of Dragoman;
• Men, 44 km – the category includes male participants over the age of 12 who compete in the 44-kilometer distance; denivelation of course – D+1200 m, covering the entire route which is in the shape of eight, with beginning and end - the town of Dragoman;

Hobby Women

• Women, 23 km – the category includes female participants over 12 years of age who compete in the 23-kilometer distance. Denivelation of course – D+660 m; this is the left half of the 8-shaped course, with beginning and end - the town of Dragoman;
• Women 44 km – the category includes female participants over 12 years of age who compete in the 44-kilometer distance. Denivelation of course – D+1200 m, covering the entire 8-shaped route, with beginning and end - the town of Dragoman;

Participants between 12 and 18 years of age are obliged to print out and fill in a Declaration signed and certified by a parent, which they shall submit at receiving the starter pack. Presence of at least one parent at submitting said Declaration is OBLIGATORY!

II. Run for Chepan - Start on 28-th 2024

We offer four running distances.

• Short distance, up to the peak and back, 12 kilometers
• 30 kilometers picturesque and technical route Chepan sky
• 23 kilometers
• 44 kilometers.

The direction of movement is the same as that of the cyclists. Start/Final is in the central square of Dragoman in front of the Town Hall. Rankings are according to sex, male/female, for each of the distances. All competitors over 12 years of age of the respective sex are included in each ranking.

Participants between 12 and 18 years of age are obliged to print out and fill in a Declaration signed and certified by at least one parent, which Declaration they shall submit when receiving race numbers.

Duathlon 23+23 km - Start on 28-th 2024

The participants start by bike along with the cyclists on the 23-kilometer course; after covering this distance, they leave their bikes and run the same course again. Ranking is according to sex. All competitors over 16 years of age of the respective sex participate in each ranking.

IV. E-Bike 44 km - Start on 27-th 2024

Participants between 16 and 18 years of age are obliged to print out and fill in a Declaration signed and certified by at least one parent, which Declaration they shall submit when receiving race numbers.

ATTENTION! Only competitors whose bicycles meets the EU requirements (with a speed limit when assisted up to 25 km/h and with engine power up to 250 W) will take part in the ranking.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

The Participants shall:

• be physically fit;
• have the necessary skills to participate in the competition and their participation is not in contradiction to a doctor's prescription;
• be aware of the risks that might be caused by the terrain, equipment, their personal physical condition, weather conditions, forest animals, trees, vehicular traffic, as well as by actions of third parties that may cause them injuries, non-property and property damage.

The participants are obliged to:

• unconditionally comply with all decisions and orders of the organizing team, authorized volunteers and persons in charge at any moment of the event/competition, regardless of whether these decisions or orders concern the organization of the event or their personal participation in it; constantly take care of, and protect their own safety and health as well as the safety and health of everyone around them, regardless of whether they participate in the event or other activities or are just observers or something else;
• strictly follow safety and security rules and measures.

For the abovementioned in paragraph REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS of these Terms and Conditions, every Participant signs a special Declaration by marking with an obligatory check mark. The Declaration is an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. Without giving informed consent and declaring the circumstances in the manner described during registration (i.e. without putting a check mark), registration and participation in the Bike & Run for Chepan 2022 will NOT be possible. Participants over 18 years of age do not have to print out the Declaration and submit it on paper.

Participants between 14 and 18 years of age shall print out and fill in the Declaration, which shall be signed and certified by a parent/guardian, and then they shall submit it when getting the race numbers. The presence of the parent when submitting the Declaration is MANDATORY!

REWARDS

All competitors in the prize places (First, Second and Third) receive a corresponding medal and material prizes from the prize fund provided by the organizer, sponsors and partners of the event.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

Participants MUST bring their own water containers. There will be no cups at the stations.

SAFETY AND SECURITY RULES AND MEASURES:

Assess your own abilities carefully and objectively; line up at the starting line taking them into account and do not unnecessarily crowding toward the front groups;
Move carefully when in a group, taking into account the movements of the competitors around you. Take care of them and yourself. Do not push other competitors, and do not show aggression;
Obey the Road Traffic Act when crossing roads of the national or municipal road network. Be careful;
Follow the recommendations and guidelines of the law enforcement agencies;
Take into account and comply with the peculiarities of the terrain and atmospheric conditions;
Move along the marked route and watch the marks. If you lose a mark, go back to the last one you have seen and look around;
In case of urgent need, call one of the telephone numbers indicated on the competition numbers;
Protect nature. Be responsible. Do not litter the environment.

Objectives:

Registration for the race ensures your admission to participation in it by receiving a unique ID number which is linked to the start number; all this is for the purpose of better organization and optimization of the planning and the race itself. Your personal data are used to generate a unique ID number, to check on the spot or in another appropriate way whether you are among the registered participants and to prepare a start number, as well as to prepare the mandatory mountain insurance for you on the day of the competition

We use the data submitted during registration for:

- administration of your participation which includes: sending a message to confirm your registration and a reminder message about the upcoming competition; send a feedback message to registered users for the purpose of better planning, providing other opportunities in the future, and information about the next similar competition; conclusion of mountain insurance for the day of the event on your behalf; – sending messages about upcoming events;
– sending messages about upcoming events;
- statistical purposes - we carry out internal analyzes about event attendance, regularity of attendance, type of audience in order to improve the organization and the program of future events. The processing results contain only summarized and anonymous data which are not considered personal within the meaning of national and European legislation.

Grounds

Your personal data are processed on the basis of the General Terms and Conditions for participation (agreement) in the competition which Terms and Conditions you have accepted, and for the purposes of our legitimate interests arising from our established relationships.
Your personal data will be processed by the organizational team. For the purposes of registration of the race organized by us, we work with my.raceresult.com and for timing with Race Timing BG ltd , which provide sufficient guarantees for the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures in such a way that the processing takes place in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and ensures the protection of your rights as data subjects.

Duration of data storage

Personal data will be stored until achieving the purposes for which they have been collected.
personal data for a longer period, or the data is necessary in connection with making or defending against legal claims, we will continue to we process personal data until the expiration of the required period or until the settlement of the relevant claims.
